Buffalo Campground

Last weekend we went with Aaron's brother and parents camping to Island Park. I should first thank my husband for buying our family a trailer, because that is the only way we are having happy memories from our camping trips!!! I love to be in the woods, but I hate sleeping in tent, or rather lying in tents all night, I can't seem to sleep in them!

We stayed for two nights, and our kids had a fabulous time! They love to play with thier cousins Kambrie and Teagan. And Carson was even nice (most of the time) to McKinlee. He did really like her little blue bike, and we had to strongly encourage him not to take it from her!

We went and saw the fish at Big Springs, we floated the Buffalo River in little rafts and tubes, and we did a lot of relaxing! The kids loved riding thier bikes all over the place, making smores, and just having friends to play with all weekend!

After such a long day, with no nap, this is what happened to Carson!

We had such a great time with Aaron's family! Our kids cryed half the way home, because they didn't want the weekend to be over! Hopefully, the weather will stay nice enough for us to go with his family one more time this year!

Boys will be Boys!

The day before school stared, my sweet mom invited us to go have a picnic lunch at Freeman Park. My Dad works close by, so he came over and had lunch with us.

Carson and my Dad went for a walk down by the river, and when they came back, they told the girls there was something neat they needed to go look at down by the river. So after we finished our lunches, we walked down by the river, and in some rocks, we saw a pool of water with millions of little minnows swimming in it!

My Dad being the good grandpa he is, was down on his knees trying to catch a minnow for the kids to see, when Morgan noticed a water snake was almost crawling up his pant leg. Carson was really excited. We watched it swim around in the water, and then it came over right by us again, and Carson really wanted to "Get IT!"
So Grandpa caught it, and I thought my boy would be a little nervous (his genetics-from his Father-show that he should HATE snakes!) but he was so excited. He only touched it at first, and would laugh his head off, and then we let him hold it by himself! It is so funny, after my two girls, to see a boy be such a little boy!

I of course forgot my camers, but my Mom took this one from her cell phone.

Carson's 1 Toy......

The other night, when Grandpa and Grandma Lowry came over for a visit, Carson would not leave Grandpa Lowry alone! He kept showing him toys, and talking non-stop. He was being pretty cute, but he was making a horrible mess, so when he went heading back to his room to pull out more toys, I told him No! We had enough toys out! He kept begging and pleading with me, and like a sucker I gave in and told him he could only bring out 1 more toy! The next thing we see, is Carson pulling his 1 toybox out of his room, completely filled with toys!! He then proceded to stack them as high as he could on Grandpa! He was having his own little game of "Show and Tell!"

It is a little disturbing to me that he is already figuring out ways to undermine my authority and get his own way! Whatever will he be like in the fabulous teenage years?

Morgan's Birthday Party!

Morgan's birthday was on a Sunday this year, so we kinda stayed home and tried to have fun at our house! Morgan really wanted me to do something with her. She hates our normal routine of putting Cason to bed, and having them watch a movie or do something quiet, while Aaron and I have a nap! Morgan hates when we have naps! She gets bored and she thinks is takes forever. So, on her birthday (her Dad was still recovering, so he got to take a nap), but Morgan and I got to make a cake! For anyone who knows Morgan well, this is about her favorite activity!
After we cooked, we went to Grandpa and Grandma Williamson's house for dinner and a party! Morgan got to open her presents, and played some games with Grandpa nad Grandma.

After presents we had cake and ice cream. Morgan picked out this cake from a cook book! I let her choose from whatever one we had the ingredients for, and she loved this one. She thought it was so neat that you sliced it in half, and put filling in the middle! She loved it, but it wasn't my favorite tasting cake!!

Grandma and Grandpa Lowry were out of town on Sunday, so they came over for a party on Monday! It was fun to spread out her presents, so she could enjoy them for a while, before she opened more!

Thanks to the Grandma's and Grandpa's for helping Morgan to have a great couple of days!

Happy Birthday Morgan!

Today Miss Morgan turned 9 years old. I laugh everytime I see this newborn picture of her! She was so dark, and chubby, and she looked somewhat Indian to me! It is crazy she would soon turn into a very light skinned red headed little girl!!! This is a picture of her in her blessing dress. Her Great-Grandma Jean knitted this dress for her. I remember it arrived in the mail the day Morgan was born, and my Mom brought it to the hospital for us to try it on her!
Her three month old pictures! Gotta love the double chin!!!

Morgan hated the feel of grass as a baby! It was so nice, I would just set out a blanket on the grass, and she would never crawl off of it, because she didn't want to feel the grass on her bare skin.

My Sweet Grandma Glenna helping little Morgan to walk.
Morgan on her baptism day. Her Grandma Monica made her baptism dress for her! We loved it!
Here is my sweet girl, growing up so quickly! She is such a good girl! She tries so hard to please everyone around her, and I am amazed at how she does just about everything she is asked. This little lady would rather help me cook or clean, than most anything else! We love her curious mind, even if we always are not totally patient with all of her questions!
Happy Birthday Morgie-Bug!!! We love you!!

The "Bire"

Saturday night, Aaron decided it would be fun to have a fire in the backyard and let the kids make S'mores! Carson was REALLY excited about making a "bire."

He kept telling me over and over that it was "wheely hot!" It was also a little dangerous to let Carson roast his own marshmallow's, he kept turning and almost stabbing all of us with his roasting sticks!

We got a little sticky, and really stinky, but we had a great time!
