Carson's Birthday

Carson has been struggling trying to wait until his birthday. Every morning he has been up checking out my calendar, counting down the days.

It finally arrived.

I wish all of my kids were as easy to pick out presents for as this little boy. He gets so excited about everything.

I don't know where he learned it, but all day long every time I would ask him to do something he would remind me he was the "Birthday Boy." He was seriously milking it for all it was worth!

Snow Break

I love it when that after the kids go back to school after Spring Break for one day, we wake up to LOTS of snow and a Snow Day. I had two mad daughters and a little boy who could not get his snow clothes on fast enough!!

Spring Break...Part Three

The day we went to Hogle Zoo was beautiful. It was some of the nicest weather we had seen this year. The zoo was the perfect temperature, we have been in July and suffered walking up and down all of those hills! We decided to ride the train first, because we knew if we didn't a certain little boy would whine until we did go.
The kids really liked the elephants, probably because this cute little baby elephant. Morgan loved the fact that it was born on her birthday. It was so cute, it kept playing in the mud and in the water, the kids loved watching it.

Paige and Carson spent half of the day arguing over who would get to hold the map. Paige just wanted to look at it, but her little brother though he was our zoo tour guide. He REALLY wanted to go see the snakes and would always see where we were and how far away the reptile house was. I thought this was hysterical, because his Dad hates the reptile house and would have been thrilled if we skipped it all together. (In his defense, he HATES snakes, and he did have a bird poop on him once in the atrium.

My little family braving the atrium. We were successful in avoiding all bird droppings.

The kids loved this baby turtle. It dug a hole and then went to the bathroom in it. Carson thought this was hysterical, and still talks about it.

These big kitties were also pretty funny! They all wanted that ball, but none of them wanted to get in the water to get it out. Right before we got there, one had fallen in and was sopping wet.

We loved the zoo, but my little boy had the best time of all. He loved every minute of it-except the minutes when one of us would try to borrow his map!

Spring Break...Part Two

The weekend we went to Salt Lake the weather was pretty nice. We were still wearing jackets, but that seemed far better than the coats we had been wearing. After we finished at the children's museum, we decided to take the kiddos to the fountains. It was pretty cute to watch my two middle children run through them like it was the middle of the summer-with jackets and long pants on.

When they decided they were done, Carson was freezing! I had to take his wet shirt off and just put on his jacket to get back to the car.
Luckily we had blankets in the car for them to wrap up in when they stripped down to their undies, for the 20 minute drive to Aunt Sherry's house.

Spring Break...Part One

Since our kids were out for 10 days for Spring Break,, we decided to go for a weekend away in Salt Lake. Since our weather during spring Break is NEVER spring like, I figured we would be in big trouble if we were cooped up in the house for that long.
The first night we were there, all the kids wanted to do was swim. They headed to the pool at the motel, and I headed for my camera, unfortunately the camera and video camera both had dead batteries. Oops.

We made a trip to the children's museum. My little boy was in heaven, so many of his favorite things!!
We had to drag him away from the helicopter, other little boys were wanting a turn. He had such a fun time messing with all the buttons.

I loved this cute little grocery store. It is so funny, that grocery shopping would seem so fun to a little kid. When you have to so it every week with a couple of little kids, it really not that fun anymore.

If we could have stayed all day at the water station, this girl would have been totally content. Every time I turned around she had found her way back.

Our little bull rider.

It was so fun to take the kids to a place they could actually be kids. It was a perfect place to take bored kids!!
