Feels like Spring...

We had such a warm, sunny week. It felt wonderful. Carson decided it was nice enough for a picnic. While I was feeding Cooper a bottle on the porch, Carson set the three of us up with a picnic. He got a blanket, a left-over sandwich for me, and a bowl of ice cream for him and I. He even brought the whole 1/2 gallon outside, and scooped it for us. What a sweet little date.

He loves this ice cream scooper. It is from Aunt Sherry, and it has a pig head on the top. If you fill it with batteries it will make piggy noises at you while you use it.
Lovely.

Cooper was happy. This photo is not figure flattering. The angle of the car seat does a number on his double chin.

My lunch dates.

When it was time for school to get out, we took the baby on his first outdoor stroller ride, to pick up the girls from school. Once they were home, they had to change into summer clothes. They claimed they were roasting.

This picture is a compromise. Paige was quite bummed that I wouldn't let her turn the sprinkler on under the trampoline. I told her we certainly couldn't run through the sprinkler when we still had snow in the back yard. She decided she would have to be content wearing her swimsuit outside, just not getting wet. I did let her have some cookies to make everything all better.

And with the feel of spring, we must have some spring cleaning. Thanks AJ for a tidy garage!

Coopers Blessing

We tried a couple of times to get some pictures of Cooper in his blessing outfit. The first day, he was tired and all he wanted was his paci, and to go to sleep.

The day of his blessing he was feeling a little more cooperative.

I love this picture, sweet little boy, sweet little smile. The day you bless a baby always seems to be a little crazy. Trying to get other kids ready, having a baby happy and fed at the right moment during church, and making yourself look like you are finally starting to fix your hair and wear make-up again, can be quite a task for a lady with a new baby.

Also, I needed to have the house clean (while everyone is getting ready for church) and have some food ready for my sweet friends and family, who were kind enough to share this special day with us.

Except for the day we came home from the hospital, I hadn't taken a picture with the crew all together. It proved to be a bit more difficult than I expected. I figured if I took a bunch of pictures, something was bound to look good.

Take One....Not Quite.
Take Two...a little better.
Take three...Oh, dear. That second daughter of mine can be a crack-up.

Take twelve...Alas, this one is pretty good!

Our first family picture.

We had such a sweet day. Thanks to all our family for taking the time to share this with us.

Oops

This is what happens when you are the 4th child.
This is what happens when your mom sets you in the rocking chair, with the intention of rocking you to sleep but she gets distracted and unloads the dishwasher, and checks the computer, and gets a diet coke. Then she realizes that she has forgotten to put the baby to sleep, and lay him safely in his bed.
This little boy decided he couldn't wait anymore.
I REALLY hope I don't leave him anywhere.

Carson's Artwork

The other day Carson was so bored. I was feeling guilty because he had been watching TV way too much that day, so we decided we would do a little art. I set him up with the supplies he wanted, and then headed to my room to fold laundry. When I came out, it was a huge mess, but when my REALLY excited little boy showed me his masterpieces on the fridge (he hung them up all by himself) it was so worth it.

I took some close-ups of my very favorites. Here is a lovely drawing of his baby brother.

A painting of his baby brother.

His name. He has a little trouble getting that S the right way. He usually makes me draw him dots so he can get it right, but he did pretty good on his own.

Ahhh...my favorite. A picture of his dad driving the 4-wheeler, that is pulling a sled carrying him and his sisters. If you know Carson you know that he is really into "hook-its." This started when we got our trailer and he started helping his dad "hook-up" to the truck. He hooks things to his bike, and loves little toy trucks with trailers. I love how he drew the rope hooking the 4-
wheeler to the sled. This is a favorite activity of this litlte boy. When it snows, he begs to call his dad at work and ask him for a ride after work.

This one he came home from school with the other day. I love these cute little chicks. I also love the big eyes, and long skinny toes!!

Sweet little boy...

Another little video for the sisters...this boy is smiling like crazy. He loves to have anyone give him attention.
