hill air force base

on our way home from salt lake, we decided to stop at hill air force base.  carson was so excited, he had been wanting to stop and see all of those airplanes for years.  it was a beautiful day and we had a great time.  i think aaron and carson could have stayed the whole day, carson was interested in learning about every plane.  the girls and coop were patient, but certainly happy when we decided to head home.

it was a little strange to try to explain this atomic bomb replica to my little boy.  

this was the point when coop decided he had had enough of this place.

it was so fun to have a whole pool full of cousins and uncles.  it was so hot in salt lake, that this was one of the favorite activities.  it was nice of aunt sherry to let us invade her pool.

park city alpine slide...lowry reunion 2013

on saturday afternoon, we had a little free time and decided to drive up to park city and take the kids on the alpine slide.  jared's family decided to come with us, and it was double fun to be able to go with cousins.  the weather there was beautiful, it was a nice break from how hot salt lake was.  i loved that they had a chair lift that would fit my whole family.

aunt sherry was nice enough to let us use her house for our dinners.  we were so glad the weather was nice so we could eat outside and let the kids run around.

we spent saturday morning playing at the park by wheeler farm, then the kids walked through the farm and saw the animals.   

 i love when we get together with the lowry family and my kids get to play with their cousins.  such fun memories.

hogle zoo 2013

our second day of the lowry family reunion was spent at hogle zoo.  the last time we had been there was when cooper was four months old.  my kids were so excited to go with cousins this time.

coop was pretty interested in the heavy equipment they were using for the re-model at the zoo.

all of us watching the bird show.  this show is one of our favorite things to do at the the zoo.  we love watching all those birds fly 2 inches from our heads.

sweets candy company...lowry family reunion 2013

to start the lowry family reunion this year, we all met at the sweets candy factory for a  guided tour.  we couldn't take any pictures inside, so i made everyone put the hair nets back on and pose for one outside.  coop looked so cute with his on:)

this one makes me giggle.  he is pretty happy to score an ENORMOUS bag of candy.

my kids loved the tour, and all of the sampling.  it was so fun to see how it is made, and see so much of it being made.  lots and lots of sugar and lots and lots of candy....it smelled really good in there.
