Corn on the Cob

I wish my children would eat all vegetables as well as they eat corn on the cob. I love that we can have it with every meal this time of year. Today, Carson came running into the house and grabbed a big bowl. I unfortunately know what that means. I asked him what he was going to pick in the garden, and he replied "pruits and vegables." He loves to pick green tomatoes, green peppers the size of a marble, and flat peas.

He decided to pick corn instead today. I don't think he has ever done it before, and I didn't help him. I was pretty impressed with how he did though. He kept singing "corny,corny,corny..." Over and over again.

This is what we came up with. I love the extra long handles he left on some of them!!

What a good corn picker! At least it was eatable instead of flat peas and marble sized tomatoes!! Smart boy to leave long handles too! This is my favorite time to eat all the goodies from the garden! Bring on the buttered corn!!!!

It looks like you have a cute little helper! I'm going to be sad when winter comes and I can't get fresh vegetable from my garden.

He does like to pick vegables. He does it here too. It makes him so happy.

What a sweet boy!! He's so much fun. It's amazing to me that he's been picking veggies all his life, and I picked my first a couple years ago...and Uncle Richard will never let me live that one down.....

Oh I love that boy! So adorable. That totally makes up for all the times he is a tad mischievious.

We're sad we missed corn season this year. It was never the right season in all the places we lived. I guess next year. Glad to know Carson is still up to his same antics, we miss that boy!
