Flashback Friday

Do you think they look related???
This little boy is still trying to do EVERYTHING his daddy does. Carson even has his legs crossed to match Aaron's. I love how these boys love to do almost everything together!!
(I do think Carson might enjoy it a little more that Aaron:)

Bikes, volleyball, and a bit of yard work...

Saturday we tried to get in a little bit of everything! The kids needed some new bikes since Morgan was too big for her old one, and Carson's dad did not want his boy's first bike to be pink. Poor Paige didn't get a new one, because Morgan's old one is perfectly fine. She was easily pacified by getting her a basket, handle bar streamers, and a bell. Such a sweet girl!!

Aaron decided he was tired of changing the bark in our mound every year, so we decided to switch it to rock. I was gone half of the day, so Aaron and Carson got to work on this project mostly by themselves.

Paige, Morgan, and I got to spend the day in Rexburg, for Morgan's first Volleyball tournament. It was a long day, but it was fun to see what she is learning at practice. Paige was a good sport to color and and play while we were there for 5 hours.

Happy Birthday Rachel!!

Happy Birthday Rachel! We thought we would post some of our favorite pictures of you! ( We especially love the mud photo!)

Thanks for always being funny, sweet, and darling! Hope you have a fabulous birthday! We love you!!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday Mom! We decided in honor of your birthday we would name our top ten favorite things about Grandma Monica!

10. You are always up for silly fun with the grand kids.
9. You are always willing to rearrange your schedule to help out children, grandchildren, and MGpa.
8. You will sew or fix anything we ask, even if it must be done the next day, and you have to stay up till 1 A.M.
7. You are very generous.
6. You are so laid back and patient when we invade your house for weeks at a time.
5. You will always volunteer to do the rotten job of grocery shopping, when we invade your house for weeks at a time.
4. You can paint, do drywall, texture ceilings, and lay tile, like no other lady can!
3. You are forever worrying about and trying to help your family in any way you can.
2. You are a fabulous sport when we continually tease you!
1. You are a fantastic Grandma! (We all know my kids would move in with you if they were given the choice!)

Thanks for everything! We Love You!

Flashback Friday

Spring 2007. These pictures reminded me of yesterday's weather. Morgan and Carson were enjoying a day of no wind. We had been cooped up for months, so even though it was cold, we were braving it. Morgan and I were chatting, Carson was crawling all over the place....

And my sweet little Paige found a huge mud puddle, and played in the mud and water until she was so cold and wet she could not stand it any longer!

Morgan 0 vs. Ice 1

When I picked up Morgan from school yesterday, she showed up with a bit of blood on her face. She had fallen on the way out of school, and the ice on the ground did a number on her! In this picture we had cleaned her up, and it looked much better than when we first saw her!!

Flashback Friday

I love that a blog is a little history of my family, yet, I wish I could have started it many years ago, so that I would have much more recorded. To try to make for years past, I am going to start posting some of my favorite pictures from the pre-blogging years! The goal here is every Friday, but we will see if I can keep that up.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Carson. He is about 9 months old, and very unhappy that he had to sit in the car. It was nap time, and he was still in a rear-facing car seat, which always seems to make my kids grumpy. To keep him from screaming, I handed him a piece of red licorice, and it worked like magic. He ate the licorice and I didn't hear another word from him. When I got home and went to get him out of his car seat, this is what I found!

I couldn't get him into the house without waking him up, nor did I really want that red stuff all over his bedding!

I find it ironic that 2 years later, this little guy is still dumping out all the shampoo into the tub, every time he gets the chance. He REALLY likes bubbles!

A little more snow fun!

So, I am grateful that it is starting to warm up and the hope of warm weather is slowly approaching, but this little guy is going to miss this snow! He begs to go outside daily, and is so happy when I finally get the motivation to put his snow clothes on one more time.

He likes to take out most of his trucks, most of my kitchen utensils, and now he is raiding the garage for his Dad's things to play in the snow with!

I just can't wait until all the snow melts, so I can find all my spatula's again.
