Disneyland Part 1

***Disclaimer***

These next few post will have many pictures and lots of journaling, which may be only interesting to the Lowry family!!

After two days in the car, the kids were more than excited to be going to Disneyland. The 3 big kids kept themselves busy while we drove and drove. Even though Carson was a bit bothered that Cooper got to fly with Grandpa and Grandma, they were all really good.

Our first day we started at California Adventure Park. The Soarin’ over California ride was our first ride and one of our absolute favorites. I think we went four times.

Paige loved Grizzly Bear Rapids. She would have gone all day if we let her.

Cooper the Trooper!! This boy was so patient to sit for so long in his stroller.

This is as close as my kids would get to Mickey. Carson really wanted to see the characters (especially Mickey Mouse) but only wanted to see them from afar.

It was really fun to get to see some of Carson’s favorite things.

Pictures with the CALIFORNIA letters at the California adventure park gate. Carson was the only one lucky enough to have the first letter of his name to take a picture with.

I am so glad we got a picture of that little pink pig with Carson. He and his dad won a big Dumbo and that little pig playing an arcade game. I thought for sure he would pick the elephant and give the Dumbo to a sister, but he chose the pig and promptly named it “Oinky.” Which is perfect since his duck at home is named “Quacky.”

That pig went everywhere with us our entire time at Disneyland. He would not leave it at the motel on our next day, and still sleeps with it now. It was a problem however, to only have one Dumbo when the girls returned from riding a ride with Grandma. To fix this little problem, we used our family to fill up all the seats of the Dumbo game, with the understanding that whoever won the prize, it was going to Paige.

Family Pictures

Back in July, my friend Amber took some family pictures for us. We got up REALLY early in the morning, so it wouldn’t be too sunny or windy. The big kids were great, but that baby boy would not look at the camera very much. He was much more interested in the creek and the grass and the trees…anything but where we wanted him to look.

9 months old

We are having a hard time at this house believing how fast nine months has gone by. This boy is everywhere now. He wants to crawl up and stand next to everything, but is having a bit of a difficult time figuring out how to get back down. We have officially reached the stage where no matter how hard you try to keep them safe, they still hurt themselves every 20 minutes or so.

I still have no idea what to do with his hair. It is getting long, but it still wants to stick up like crazy in the back. I am worried if I cut it, it will ALL stick straight up. Paige loves to get her hands wet and spike it. I am not quite sure it is my favorite style.

I heart these blue-eyed boys.

Cooper has been my only baby that hasn’t hated the feel of grass. I thought he would just hang out on the blanket, but he took right off.

My boys and teeth

We have been waiting and waiting for these little teeth to pop through.

He would not sit still for me to get a very good picture, whenever he opened his mouth wide enough, he would bounce up and down so fast, I couldn’t take a picture fast enough! We think these 2 pearly whites make him look quite cute.

The day that Cooper cut his first tooth, Carson was trying to take these trios apart with his teeth….

and ended up like this. He came running out to me saying “My tooth is loose!”

He was a little bothered by the blood, but excited at the cash left by the tooth fairy.

Coopers favorite toy

I used to have this little basket of cute wicker balls.

He makes a bee line, when he sees I have cleaned them up.

We are down to about half of them, because after he plays with them for a while this is what they look like. A little before vs. after shot.

First Day of School

A week ago, we had our first day of school. These girlies were pretty excited about heading back to school. I think they get a little sick of hanging out with me over the long summer.

09-31-2010 037

Paige let me get a cute picture of her in her desk. Morgan was a little nervous about going to her class, but a little embarrassed that I would need to walk her to class. So, we certainly did not try to get a picture.

This little boy was REALLY sad when I took his sisters to school, and told him he would have to wait a few hours before it was his turn. He asked me every 30 minutes if it was time for him to go.

He insisted on wearing his new Boise State shirt, that we HAD to buy so that he could match his dad. As we were driving to school, he looked a little nervous, so I asked him if he was OK. He said “I a yittle bit nervous.”

So cute.

I hope he says yittle for a while still, we don’t even try to fix it when he says it wrong.

I told them to stick up the numbers of fingers, so we would know what grade they were in. We tried to get Carson to make a K….I guess backwords works.
