fourth of july

we always start the fourth of july with the parade.  cooper LOVED the parade this year, i was worried he would be scared, but he could not get enough of the trucks and horses.

i don’t know how i missed a picture of the lorenc crew:(  we always go grab lunch after the parade, go home and swim, have a bbq, and then head to freeman park for the fireworks.  we have had the same tradition for the 4th since i was a little girl, i love that i get to watch my kids enjoy it now.

day trip….island park

before girls camp, i wanted to go  check out the cabin we would be staying in for a week.  some of our favorite friends decided to join us for the day:)  since poor becky is in young women’s, she ended up helping a ton as i got ready for girls camp….including coming with me to check out the place.  our hubbies were busy, so we loaded all the kids in the van set out for our adventure.  we got lost a few times, but the kids were still pretty patient.  after we had visited the cabin, we headed to big springs to feed the fish and have a picnic.

 

 

we ended up feeding the seaguls instead of the fish.  those birds ate the food before the fish even had a chance.

 

 

we had such a fun day spending time with good friends!

the knuckleheads

i can’t believe that this was carson’s last year to play t-ball.  he was on a team with a bunch of his friends, and they were called the knuckleheads. 

he just might like hanging out with his friends on the dug out even more than actually playing.

a little pit stop

on our way home, we met grandma at the hill house.  we had aaron take her car home, and we stayed and played for a few days.  we went for a picnic in the canyon and then a little walk down by the river.

 

oh my goodness.  this little lady is the cutest thing ever.

this picture doesn’t show it, but we spotted a HUGE flock of birds coasting up high above the canyon.  they would just circle around and around, it was pretty cool to watch them and how they kept changing formation.

these kids did not love that as soon as they got settled…some little trouble maker with a lawn mower, would come and drive right over them.

     

we all rejoice when this little one lays down and takes a nap, and we can finally relax.

lowry family talent show

on saturday night we had a talent show.  the kids were supposed to perform or bring something to display their talent.  i only saw half of the show because cooper had missed his nap for two days and he was delirious.  aaron snapped some pictures of some of the cousins.

when everyone was done, all the cousins sang “i hope they call me on a mission” to colter.  we are going to miss this boy when he leaves on his mission in october.  he is truly loved by all these sweet kids, and is such a great example to them.
