Spring Break...Part Three

The day we went to Hogle Zoo was beautiful. It was some of the nicest weather we had seen this year. The zoo was the perfect temperature, we have been in July and suffered walking up and down all of those hills! We decided to ride the train first, because we knew if we didn't a certain little boy would whine until we did go.
The kids really liked the elephants, probably because this cute little baby elephant. Morgan loved the fact that it was born on her birthday. It was so cute, it kept playing in the mud and in the water, the kids loved watching it.

Paige and Carson spent half of the day arguing over who would get to hold the map. Paige just wanted to look at it, but her little brother though he was our zoo tour guide. He REALLY wanted to go see the snakes and would always see where we were and how far away the reptile house was. I thought this was hysterical, because his Dad hates the reptile house and would have been thrilled if we skipped it all together. (In his defense, he HATES snakes, and he did have a bird poop on him once in the atrium.

My little family braving the atrium. We were successful in avoiding all bird droppings.

The kids loved this baby turtle. It dug a hole and then went to the bathroom in it. Carson thought this was hysterical, and still talks about it.

These big kitties were also pretty funny! They all wanted that ball, but none of them wanted to get in the water to get it out. Right before we got there, one had fallen in and was sopping wet.

We loved the zoo, but my little boy had the best time of all. He loved every minute of it-except the minutes when one of us would try to borrow his map!
