After two tiring days at Disneyland, we drove to San Diego, where we stayed for the rest of our trip. The next morning Grandpa came back from a walk to the beach and told us that he had seen some dolphins. Morgan and Carson were really excited to go the water, so we headed down. It was so fun to watch Morgan see the ocean for the first time. We waded in the water, grandpa chased Carson with a big pieces of kelp, and we found a few sea shells. The rest of the day we played at the pool, poor Carson had been begging to swim for days. (The pool at our motel by Disneyland was closed for two days, to be repaired.) After two busy days, it was wonderful to have a relaxing day.

Disneyland Part 2
I was AMAZED that these ladies wanted a picture with Minnie Mouse. Carson still only wanted to look from a safe distance away.
The first thing we did was hop on the train and ride to the back of the park. Then we just worked our way out. It was really fun to watch my kids ride the same rides I had gone on as a kid.
Ice Cream Break. I still look at that ice cream and see dollar signs (Cool treats for a family of 5 cost about $25.) The kids were hungry, and it was hot, so we were desperate.
Carson was really excited to drive the cars.
That is one seriously packed tea cup,we just barely all fit. My sweet husband made us spin so fast I thought I might throw up. The kids laughed hysterically at me, because I was begging him to stop spinning us so fast.
Carson wanted to ride this wild train ride. I was worried we would scare him to death, but he was tall enough, and his Daddy said it would be fine. I ended up being quite wrong, he said it was his favorite.
We were on our way to the World of Color show. We were so tired, but we were so glad we went. The show was fabulous and my kids loved it, except poor Carson who was exhausted and fell asleep in the stroller.
Carson’s second favorite ride.
I just thought these were cute little chubby piggies!!
So many pictures, and still I wished I would have taken more. I think my kids would have loved to take one on every ride, so they could remember them all. We loved Disneyland, but ALL of us were totally exhausted after a couple of full days. We were very ready for a R and R day.

Disneyland Part 1
***Disclaimer***
These next few post will have many pictures and lots of journaling, which may be only interesting to the Lowry family!!
After two days in the car, the kids were more than excited to be going to Disneyland. The 3 big kids kept themselves busy while we drove and drove. Even though Carson was a bit bothered that Cooper got to fly with Grandpa and Grandma, they were all really good.
Our first day we started at California Adventure Park. The Soarin’ over California ride was our first ride and one of our absolute favorites. I think we went four times.
Paige loved Grizzly Bear Rapids. She would have gone all day if we let her.
I love this picture of my little boy taking everything in.
Cooper the Trooper!! This boy was so patient to sit for so long in his stroller.
This is as close as my kids would get to Mickey. Carson really wanted to see the characters (especially Mickey Mouse) but only wanted to see them from afar.
It was really fun to get to see some of Carson’s favorite things.
Pictures with the CALIFORNIA letters at the California adventure park gate. Carson was the only one lucky enough to have the first letter of his name to take a picture with.
I am so glad we got a picture of that little pink pig with Carson. He and his dad won a big Dumbo and that little pig playing an arcade game. I thought for sure he would pick the elephant and give the Dumbo to a sister, but he chose the pig and promptly named it “Oinky.” Which is perfect since his duck at home is named “Quacky.”
That pig went everywhere with us our entire time at Disneyland. He would not leave it at the motel on our next day, and still sleeps with it now. It was a problem however, to only have one Dumbo when the girls returned from riding a ride with Grandma. To fix this little problem, we used our family to fill up all the seats of the Dumbo game, with the understanding that whoever won the prize, it was going to Paige.
