Happy Birthday Paige

8-7-2010 043

I cannot believe that this little lady is 8 years old. She was really excited for her birthday to come. I bought her presents and then locked them in a room downstairs. I think it was driving her crazy that they were just sitting down there waiting for her birthday to come.

Paige is about the sweetest thing ever. She is so compassionate, and wants everyone to be happy. She always disappears when someone is sad or hurt and comes running back with a blanket or stuffed animal to make them feel better.

We had a little family party the night of her birthday and then a swimming party with some friends the next day. I love that her birthday is in the summer, it is so nice to have birthday parties and be able to be outside.

Blue Angels

8-7-2010 021

The day after Morgan got back from Pine Basin, we decided to drive down by the airport and check out the air show. The Blue Angels had been practicing for two days, flying over our house, and Carson was REALLY excited to go see them a lot closer.

They were amazing!

My kids loved watching all of the airplanes and all of the tricks.

I didn’t even realize this little boy could get out of his cars seat. I guess with the right motivation anything is possible. He was a little crabby, so I put him in front of the computer with a Baby Einstein movie on, this is what he was doing when I walked back by!!

Pine Basin

On Thursday we went up to Pine Basin for parents night to visit Morgan. She had had a fun time, was a teeny bit homesick, and was pretty tired. I guess at Pine Basin you never go to bed before midnight (or 1 or 2 in the morning.)

The put on a program with skits and lots of crazy silly songs. (That is actually the part I remember most about going to Pine Basin as a kid.)

Her bunk bed. It was so clean and tidy, this girl is so responsible.

It was a beautiful night, what a fun place for a summer camp.

A little nervous...

I dropped this little girl off at the middle school early this morning. She promptly hopped on a bus and headed up for Pine Basin.
Courtney and Morgan
She was excited and nervous, I was a little nervous as well. (I also feel really old. I remember going to Pine Basin, how is it that I have a daughter old enough to go??)

I hope she has a great time, and as soon as I get used to not having any idea where she is or what she is doing, I will be super.
Needless to say, I am excited to go visit for parent's night on Thursday.

Six Months

I don't know where this last six months has gone. I cannot believe how fast this little man is growing. He is rolling, drooling like crazy, and making a lot of noise.

He is the sweetest thing ever. We are loving having this little guy around.

He loves to laugh and play with his big brother and sisters, he is so patient with them carrying him all over the place (he is a big boy for them to be hauling around!)

We love how this boy has a smile for everyone.

I heart his chubby little arms and fingers.

Cooper always has something in his mouth. Sometimes it is a paci, other times a whole fist, my personal favorite is one finger in the corner of his mouth. He will grab anything he can find and try to get it in his mouth.

We kinda hope he quits growing up so fast. We are having quite a lot of fun with a little guy in the house!!

Chocolate Creme Filled cupcakes

These two ladies have been cooking up a storm at this house. I am just rejoicing in the fact that they are getting along so much better than last summer. Paige got a cute little cupcake set for Christmas, and I was glad to see they were finally putting it to good use!!

I am so sad that I forgot to take a picture of the finished product. They were even topped with hot pink frosting. So Cute!!
Someday, I might never have to ever make dinner again.
