Last Weekend...

Last weekend, we decided to take the kids on one more camping trip. Within 5 minutes of arriving at our destination, Carson was stung by a bee, we had popped the only raft we brought for floating the river, and we realized we had forgotten a few vitally important things for our trip. (Cups...Underwear-not every one's, just one unlucky person...some needed tools...ect..) We got creative, and all crisis were resolved. Luckily Aaron's parents and brother were coming to join us the next day, and they brought us a few necessities.

This picture was taken by Morgan, she thought Carson was so cute. She wanted to get a picture of the little boy helping his Daddy. He LOVES to help hook it, unhook it, and help his Dad with all the other little things to get the trailer set up.
Our first night's campfire. The weather was so beautiful, we could not have asked for a better night. It was really nice to get away and relax for a weekend.
After Carson and Aaron patched up our raft, they took turns floating the river with the Dad. The mom watched and took pictures. I wasn't sure I could get out of the boat, if I were to actually get in.
Morgan with Uncle Shane, and her cousin Jacee. It was so fun for my girls to have a cousin to play with while we were there.

We took the kids to West Yellowstone to see the grizzly bear and wolf center. It was a little strange to be this close to the bears, they are huge! It was fun to get such an up close look at them.

Sorry about my son. It looks like he is kissing the wolf's behind.

Before we went home on Sunday, we drove to Big Springs to feed the fish. This fish were pretty full of course, but we were able to feed a couple of muskrats, and quite a few ducks. We bought some of that fish food that they sell there in the candy machines, and wow, that was a mistake. It made our hands smell SO NASTY. I washed my hands three times and I could still smell that yucky dead fish smell on my hands. I will stick with bread or cheetos from now on. Then maybe we could eat our next meal with out gagging.

This photo is for my sister, who lives far away, and is begging for a photo of how my stomach is growing. (Really not my favorite photo!!)

We had such a great weekend. We did come home and after some serious searching, we realized my little boy had buried two library movies in the dirt and we had left them at the campground. To make a long story short, the lovely campground host went to our site with a rake, and found two movies and a walkie talkie. I did feel quite stupid asking them to look for some buried treasures, at our campsite 3 days later, but they were very nice about it.

Catch-up

We have been a little behind at our house lately!! I am going to try to get caught up, so excuse the randomness. Last weekend Aaron and Carson went on their first father-son camp out. Carson was VERY excited and kept reminding us that no grils (girls) were allowed, ONLY boys. When I tried to give him a hug, after he was buckled in his car seat, he just pushed me away. He was ready to get away with his Daddy. I forgot to send the camera, so I didn't get any pictures, but whenever I ask him if he had a good time he tells me, "It was a pun trip!"

On a naughtier note, while I was mowing my lawn this week, my son decided he was going to put a doggie door in my screen door. I came to check on him, and he had used the scissors, cut him a door, and was proudly showing me how it worked. I wish he could be creative -in a not so destructive sort of way.

For Memorial day, we spent the weekend in Star Valley at Aaron's Grandpa's farm. My kids love to go visit there, especially Carson. He loves all of the old tractors and farm equipment.
We tried to teach this little boy how to be respectful to the graves at the cemetery. He wanted to ride the tall ones like they were horses, so after he got in trouble, he decided to pout for the rest of the time we were at the cemetery.
We went to a little family reunion for Aaron's grandpa, and the kids had a great time playing on the toys outside. Carson could not believe they had such a "huge" slide.

Carson and Grandpa Lindberg working on the lawn mower. Carson has so much fun with Grandpa. He will grab grandpa's hand and pull (rather quickly) him around to ask questions or show him all kids of things. I worry Carson is too rough with Grandpa, but he just laughs and laughs! It is so fun to see the two of them have so much fun together.

Wind Cave

I am a little behind on my blogging! I worked for a couple of days at the school last week, and I got behind on everything.

My sweet mother-in-law watched Carson and Paige two weekends ago, (she had to be at our house at 5:45 on Saturday morning!) while Aaron, Morgan, and I went on a hike with my parents. We hiked to Wind Cave (near Darby Canyon), I had been on the hike before, but I might have been in better shape because I thought it would be a breeze, but it was a bit harder than I thought it would be. Morgan cruised up it, and I am pretty sure she loved having all the attention of Aaron, Me, and both my parents. She is the kind of girl who really likes to hang out with adults!

We made it to the cave before lunch, so we decided to walk through some of the cave before we ate our lunch. You walk through a huge opening, and then it gradually gets smaller and smaller as you walk through it. It gets to a point where you can crawl through a hole, and continue back further into the cave. I can't say I loved being in that part of the dark windy cave! Morgan was a little nervous, but she was brave and crawled through the little dark hole. We only stayed in for about a half an hour, but that was plenty for me!

The colors up in the mountains were so beautiful! On our way home, we stopped at Darby and took Morgan down the slide. Thanks, Mom and Dad for the fun day!! (Except for the nasty food at the Black Angus!-anyone for a mushroom burger????)

Labor Day Weekend!!

It has been just a little bit crazy at our house! This was our third weekend in a row that we have been out of town. This last weekend we drove our trailer to Star Valley to visit Aaron's grandpa's farm. Our kids had a blast, I hope they are always so easy to entertain on vacation! They love to leave town and sleep in the trailer! Carson was in heaven, he could not get enough of the animals, tractors, 4-wheelers, and Grandpa Wilton's cats. We went on a 4-wheeler ride to the back of grandpa's land and fed some of his neighbors horses. (I am sorry about the volume of pictures, but I took so many this weekend, and I wanted a record!)

We were feeding the horses alfalfa, we kept trying to tell Carson how to say it, but he just called it "Falfa!"

We went for a drive up a canyon by grandpa's house to go see Cottonwood Lake. The weather wasn't fabulous, but the kids loved watching the fish and fishermen!

This is Aaron's Grandpa Lindberg. He is almost 87, and he still drives a tractor and grow's crops. He works really hard, I am always impressed with how much he does! He is also so funny and the great grandchildren love him! In this picture he is trying to get Carson to help him drive the tractor back into the barn. Carson was a little too tired and scared to take him up on his offer!

This is Colter helping Grandpa move the water. Carson Loves Colter and Braydon (his cousins) and they are so sweet to play with him. They also are such good babysitters. I could relax because I knew Carson was always hanging out with one of them!

Morgan, Paige, and our cousin JaCee. These girls had so much fun playing games, looking for cats, and catching catepillar's! What cute little cousins!

Carson stranded on a big bale of hay!

Carson really liked playing on the tractors and 4-wheelers. I didn't see my girls doing so much of this!!!

We had such a great time relaxing and spending time with family. Grandpa and Grandma Lowry, Uncle Shane and his family, and Aunt Sherry were also visiting this weekend! Even though we experienced the first snow of the year (on Monday morning, pretty sad, don't you think?) up there, we had so much fun playing outside while the weather was nice, and inside when the weather was not so nice!

Buffalo Campground

Last weekend we went with Aaron's brother and parents camping to Island Park. I should first thank my husband for buying our family a trailer, because that is the only way we are having happy memories from our camping trips!!! I love to be in the woods, but I hate sleeping in tent, or rather lying in tents all night, I can't seem to sleep in them!

We stayed for two nights, and our kids had a fabulous time! They love to play with thier cousins Kambrie and Teagan. And Carson was even nice (most of the time) to McKinlee. He did really like her little blue bike, and we had to strongly encourage him not to take it from her!

We went and saw the fish at Big Springs, we floated the Buffalo River in little rafts and tubes, and we did a lot of relaxing! The kids loved riding thier bikes all over the place, making smores, and just having friends to play with all weekend!

After such a long day, with no nap, this is what happened to Carson!

We had such a great time with Aaron's family! Our kids cryed half the way home, because they didn't want the weekend to be over! Hopefully, the weather will stay nice enough for us to go with his family one more time this year!

Family Camping Trip

Before the 4th of July, (I know I am behind a bit!) Grandpa and Grandma Williamson, Michelle's family, Jessica's family and my family, went to Island Park to go camping for a couple of days! We had a great time, even the last night when NONE of the adults got any sleep! Some of the little ones had decided maybe they didn't much care for sleeping in the woods!! Here are some highlights of the trip!
Meghan, Rachel, Morgan, Isabell, and Grandpa Rich after swamping the canoe! The older girls begged and begged for Grandpa to help them do this over and over again! Paige loved playing in the water! It was a little cold for the adults, but the kiddos were much braver!
In the middle of the day it was really hot! Aaron and Michelle are trying to relax in the shade! Carson and Zach spent a lot of the trip not feeling well, but we gave them some Motrin and they made the best of it!
Paige borrowed her dad's "razor" (she means visor!) and it was so cute we had tto take a photo!
Here is my little boy feeling better, well enough at least to completely cover himself in dirt!
Here is the crew watching the fish at Big Springs! The little boys really liked watching the HUGE fish eat the leftover pancakes Grandma was feeding them!
Paige and Isabell were protecting themselves from Grandpa and his squirt gun!

More water fights!!
We had so much fun, even though we had to deal with not much sleep, and lots of insanely hungry mosquito's.
