Tagged Again!!

So, this is for Nichelle- she had to tag me back, and even though it is almost 1 in the morning, I am going to get this done before I head to Boise tomorrow.
{Mommy Tag}
1. What time do my kids wake up? Carson at about 7:00 and the girls slowly trickle out after that!
2. On a good night, what time do my kids go to sleep? 8:00-8:30
3. How long have I been a mom? Almost 9 years
4. How old was I when I became a mom? 24
5. What's my favorite kids' show? Little Einsteins, because Carson loves it and I get a 30 minute chace to catch up!
6. My least favorite kids' show? Sponge Bob
7. Favorite chore? I don't really LIKE any of them! I really dislike bathrooms, but am so happy when they are done!
8. Favorite meal to cook? Roast, because I can put it in the crockpot at 8:00 am and not think about dinner until 5.
9. What's the meal cooked most often? In the summer grilled chicken, in the winter Crock-pot chicken
10. What's your kids' favorite meal? Pizza or Swedish pancakes
11. What's my favorite thing that Aaron does with the kids? Plays with them in the backyard! They especially like 4-wheeler rides!
12. What are the 5 things that make me smile while being a mom? When they comfort each other when they are hurt or sad, when they share without asking, when they play together, when they are sleeping and look like angels, and when they come home from school so excited to see you and tell you all about the day!
13. Where do you want to take your kids someday? They would love Disneyworld!!
14. When was the last time Aaron and I went out - without kids? Last month to dinner and a movie.
15. One thing you said you would never do as a mom? I always thought it was terrible when Mom's had these cute kids and they would dress them badly (That was as a teenager!) Now I realize sometimes its just a victory to make it out of the house, even if nothing matches!
16. Favorite past time with my kids? Camping, bike rides, and one on one dates!
17. Favorite quality that my mom has? She is totally laid back, and will help me, even if it means changing dentist appointments.
18. Advice for new moms? Keep a journal (or a blog) so you can remember everything! It all starts to fade!
19. What's a scary or heartbreaking moment you've had? Paige had to get a cyst removed by her eye! When we went to have it done, she was barely 2 and they had to take her from me screaming until they could give her the gas and put her to sleep! I just sat in the hallway and cried till I heard her stop! And then I just worried because they were doing surgery on my baby girl!
20. When was the last time your kids said I love you? When I tucked them in tonight.

Well, I am not sure who has and hasn't done this tag, but I am going to tag Jessica, Hanna, and Brandi! I would tag Michelle, but I know you have just a bit TOO much going on this week!! Sorry if you girls have already done this one!

Sweet Little Boy!

So, I know many of you might not believe these words coming out of my mouth, but the little boy was sweet and darling tonight, and this I must have a record of! Today, the weather was actually nice enough for us to escape the confines of our homes, and we were able to spend some time outside.
At Paiges T-Ball games, Carson gets so sad. He keeps running out onto the field to play, but he of course is not old enough yet! We got him out the T-Ball set at home, and he got so excited! I got him all set up, and then went to go finish the dishes. As I was walking away from him he said:

"Mom, you pay me?" which of course means -will you play with me instead of racing off to finish the dishes?

I couldn't resist, and we played ball till Aaron could come out and take over. It is amazing how some nice weather can make us all a little happier.

Then tonight, After Carson had a really late nap, he was having the hardest time falling asleep! I finally came up and said,"Do you want to rock rock for a couple of minutes?" (That is what he calls rocking in a rocking chair, and sometimes humming a song to him.) Well we got all set up, and I started to hum a song to him, and he tried to hum with me. It was so cute, considering you normally see this little guy running away from me and screaming! It was so reassuring to know that somewhere inside, threatening to come out, is a sweet little boy!

Tagged!

So, I was tagged by Janeal! It has taken me a while, but here goes, 6 unspectacular quirks about me!

1. I have to get the lotion one out of the way! I, like Janeal, have to have lotion on. After I wash my hands, bath kids, wash dishes, and even if I wake up in the night, I always am putting on lotion. I even remmeber my friends in High School teasing me about this. I cannot stand the feeling of my hands and feet being dry!

2. I don't care for the dark. I let it make me a little nervous! My mind starts to wander, and then I can't make it stop. I know people usually outgrow this personality trait at age 6, but I guess I am not that fortunate!

3. I REALLY like things clean! (Not that I ever get my hearts desire!) I like to clean out closets, because they stay cleaner for a longer amount of time than a kitchen or living room! I like to look at a clean closet, and feel like I have accomplished something!

4. I stay up way too late at night! I can't make myself go to bed! I really love my bed, but I can't make myself head there when my house is so quiet and peaceful, and sometimes even tidy! But I am not a morning person either, so we have a bit of a problem!

5. I blush ALL the time! My own family can make me blush if they just tell everyone to look at me at the same time! I hate to be in front of people or put on the spot and when I am, my face always lets everyone know just how much!

6.Yeah! Last one! These are becoming a bit embarassing! I am the opposite of crafty! I have tried and tried, and 99% of the things I try to make end up in rubbermaids or the garbage cans, because I can't stand to look at them. I have realized I do so much better if I just purchase the project already completed! Then, I just have the huge problem of figuring out where to put it! Which usually means under my bed or against the wall for a couple of months while I think about it!

I feel a little strange posting this! It is so much funner to blog about all the cute things your kids do instead of all the strange things I do! Anyhow, I tag Michelle, Jessica, Nichelle, and Hanna

T.R.O.U.B.L.E.

Even though the weather wasn't fantastic, the wind did slow down enough to let us go out and play a bit! Aaron was playing softball with the girls, (getting them ready for games tomarrow) and Carson was a little bored until he found this little toy in Grandpa's garage! I was trying to get a picture of him, without soaking my camera. He thought it was hysterical.

Here he is going after Grandma sitting inside the house. The door was open, and he definetly got water inside the house. We are really trying to teach him that you can only squirt water guns outside, but I am convinced he only listens to me when he likes what he is hearing!
The only way we were able to distract him was to send him off to squirt Daddy and his sisters! He thought is was so much fun till Morgan stole the squirt gun and sprayed him back. He did not find that part quite so funny!

No more trainers!

For the past couple of weeks Paige has cried everytime we have tried to talk her about losing the training wheels! Well today, I asked her if she was scared, and she of course said "Yes." So I promised her I would not let go, and after about three attempts- this is what we got!

Now instead of her being scared, she is a wild woman, and she is scaring me. A helmet is going to be needed ASAP. Thanks also to Morgan, for learning how to get her started, so I won't have to do it everytime!

Mr. Independent!!

So, here is my little boy at work! Yesterday Carson was watching TV, and I decided to go downstairs and look at some stuff on the computer. After a couple of minutes, I started hearing noises coming from the kitchen. I knew I would regret it, but I was just too tired to run up and stop him! I heard a chair being moved, dishes clanging , the sounds of a little boy making a mess. When I did finally make it upstairs, I was in for a little surprise.

Here is the chair that I heard scooting across my tile floor!!!

Here is the milk, he tried to put away, but just could not reach!

Here is what the dude wanted!!!!

Here is the little boy, after getting everything he needed all by himself, enjoying a little cereal!

He seemed to be quite proud of himself. And believe it or not, he actually didn't make a mess! He didn't even spill the milk!!

This little boy is getting independent!
